FIRST YEARS
Gino Bouras presence in hair industry begins in the 60s’. Entering his studies in London where after many accomplishments in just 2 years of stay, he moved to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, to Canada. There as a talented hairstylist he takes part in several competitions and wins many awards among other acclaimed and world-famous hairstylists. At the time that the hippie movement was in its pick he dare to create his own philosophy.
Music played a big role in fuelling Gino’s inspiration and creativity thus he is greatly affected by the music sound of his era. His innovative ideas was came from Frank Sinatra’s reborn career and the rock and roll sounds of Elvis Presley. Gino’s career continues in New York, USA.
He will be well known for his entrepreneurial inspirations, creations and for sophisticated European style. Las Vegas is one of the many cities where his name was known and his creations dazzled the public.
A NEW START
IN GREECE
His love for Greece in combination with his subversive personality leads him to take a step forward in the Greek beauty industry. In the mid-70s’ he established his first hair salon at Hilton’s area collaborating with Dino. The Greeks response was outstanding.
His talent, quality and innovative ideas was much appreciated by Greek women. Finesse, elegance and the most up to date hairstyles was their trademark. The stores who attended on this trend have rapidly growing. The core of this attempt was Glyfada’s area store (I. Metaxa Street) where Athens’ celebrities and high society at that time gathered.
THE CONTINUATION OF A SUCCESSFUL CAREER
In 1995 the two pioneer artists decide to follow separate paths. Gino continues his successful career in hairstyling highlighting the passion talent and knowledge in fashion trends. His first hair styles collection ever, was called “minimal”. This collection marks its new art influenced by chic street style.
In a period of time where women’s personal time was valuable, he introduced his next hair style collection which called “fast forward-ff” following Greek woman’s pulse. His salons renewed and elevated so as to fit perfectly Ginos’ and partner’s trends.
One of the most iconic and powerful hairstyle collection was the “Simply Gino” as it shows that everything is simple hair, colour, styling, just Gino.
